I have a bathroom in my mod (with shower - thanks Bert) and what I would like to do is have the bath itself behave like a real bath. I have a tap with a valve as a trigger, and the water and steam all organised and have a dwelever to act like a plug lever. Trouble is I can't work out how to set it up so that it behaves something like this.
Player turns valve. Water comes out of tap for a half a minute or something, water and steam appear in the bath, player or automatically turns off valve. Water and steam stay where they are.. Player does whatever, then uses the lever to empty the bath.

Sounds simple and I nearly got it right but using the lever messes with it a bit as the lever stays wherever it last is. So if i use the lever to empty the bath I can actually refill it simply by putting the lever the other way...which kinda defeats the point of the tap and the running water sad At the moment I have it simply like that as I can't see the point of the water coming out of the tap at all which seems a shame.
If anyone can think of a way round it I'd appreciate.

ohhh btw Bert I build myself a staircase like the one in your breezehome, I was so impressed with it as its solid and sturdy looking and yet doesn't take up half the house the way some of the ingame ones do. Its not quite the same, my angle is slightly different to yours (as otherwise I'd have got to the bottom with my nose pressed against my front door) and I didn't copy paste as I'm never happy doing that - so I hope you don't mind me just borrowing your idea of using the ship wood? cool

Hi gentester, sorry I didn't get to this sooner, I just completely noticed that there was a new post here!! facepalm
In the lever's scripts area click <Add>, then <New> and change the name from "newscript" or whatever it says to something you'll recognize (such as GT_BathLevel or something) and click OK and that'll take you back to the lever's scripts tab and after a second your new script will appear. Now right mouse click the new script and select <Edit Source> to open the script for editing and copy the following bit of code into the new script below the first (& only) line using CTRL+V :
--------------------------------------------------------

Import Utility

Event OnActivate(ObjectReference akActionref)

PlayAnimation("FullPush")
Utility.Wait(1.0)
PlayAnimation("FullPull")

EndEvent

------------------------------------------------------

That should get your lever returning to the start position, if when you test it, the lever only goes one way on the first activation then goes back and forth in one go from then on switch "FullPush" & "FullPull" around and that should sort it!

oooh...I'll have a play around with it tomorrow and try that.

Thanks for the help smile

HMMM.. Dosen't work . well not dosen't work, but when I get Newscript and change the name and click OK it I get "The extends script does not exist please pick one that does."
I'll try it the other way round and make the script first, see if that works smile

Nope no luck there either sad I've no idea what I'm doing wrong lol. Also worried cos I will end up with a trigger for the water imput, the bath water levels and the steam - all good. But I think I need another trigger for the lever? Or can I just add the lever to the existing trigger? I don't think I know enough about what I'm doing with this at all. unsure Talk about learn on the job wacko
Good job I have a back up with the water and steam just appearing and disappearing with the lever and can play with this copy. lol.

OOh got it. I had to write something in the newscript scriptbox before I could Ok it biggrin

Now to try to understand why the lever disappears when the tap is activated and how to get it all working in the right order........ Logic gates were never my speciality

I have no idea now. Wretched lever just kept disappearing which made the whole shebang pretty unusable. Was totally driving me insane so in the end I just reverted to the tap trigger activating water, water intake and steam and left it at that before I went bald from tearing my hair out. biggrin

My mod is out now btw http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23987 gave you credit and linked to this site as well smile
